Wendy Dale is the author of Avoiding Prison and Other Noble Vacation Goals (published by Three Rivers Press, an imprint of Penguin Random House). It was excerpted in USA Today and was editor's choice in many publications, including the Barnes & Noble website.

She is also the founder of Memoir Writing for Geniuses, which helps writers construct their memoirs with a proprietary 7-step process. Wendy created this system after analyzing over a thousand memoir manuscripts to discover the secret underlying code that all memoirs share. The result was her book The Memoir Engineering System.

As a memoir-writing coach, Wendy works with beginners and writing pros. Wendy’s clients have come from organizations such as Entertainment Weekly, Outside Magazine, Simon & Schuster, Seal Press, Wiley, NBC, National Geographic Wild, Nickelodeon, TNT, the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, the New York Post and the New York Times.

Wendy is the creator of Write or Flight, the world’s first reality show for writers, scheduled to go air on YouTube in 2026. She the co-writer of the Emmy-nominated TV special, The New Adventures of Mother Goose. She studied film in Cochabamba, Bolivia.

She currently lives with her husband and two bunnies in Cusco, Peru.
